taking the micky, acting the fool,
wasting his own time and others too,
damning reports he was to accrue.

Liverpool College of Art he attends,
pet subject, he should make amends,
still insisting on messing about,
a year short of finishing, thrown out.

His love of music continued apace,
Lonnie Donegan was the skiffle ace,
Lennon forms his Quarrymen,
MaCartney joins these skiffling men.

In 1960 The Beatles were formed,
soon the U.S. Would be informed,
the British invasion was taking shape,
get ready with that ticker tape.

Please Please Me was number one,
plenty more where that came from,
I Want to Hold Your Hand was next,
the American Billboard was annexed.

Lennon decided to live in the states,
outside his hotel a man walks, waits,
Mark Chapman he goes by name,
squeezing a trigger, Lennon was slain.
