Not the last Plantagenet King

Not the last Plantagenet King.
---
I wouldn't mind having a bet
he wasn't the last Plantagenet.
King, Duke or pretender
Henry was the same gender.

Out of the country for ten years
hated by his cognate peer's.
The Yorkist's knew he was kindred too,
not needing a judicial review.

Two Plantagenets at Bosworth field.
Richard the one to capitulate, yield.
A much larger army on the day.
The Stanley brothers refused the frey.

Norfolk's men cut and run.
Northumberlands men soon undone.
Not much choice for Richard then
It would have to be the lions den.

The country had made its claim
former loyalists watched him slain.
May be the ghosts of two young boys
looked down on the noise, with poise.
